85 Pontiac® Fiero GT

One of the most discussed new car launches of the 1980s was the two-seater Pontiac Fiero with a mid-engine from 1984. The Fiero, an innovative space frame design with plastic body, was a fuel-saving sports car that fits perfectly into the time and quickly attracts the public’s attention when Pontiac really excited was. All 84 Fieros were driven by a simple “Iron Duke” four-cylinder, but the powerful Fiero GT, which came onto the market in 1985, also had a stronger 2.8-liter V6 engine with multiple injection and a special aerocit for the body. The latter was almost completely taken over by the racing 84 Fiero, which served as a pace car for the Indianapolis 500 that year.
