Product Description
Set of 2 passenger coaches Bpm, 2nd class (UIC Z1) SBB, Ep.IV-V
Between 1980 and 1981, the Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik Schlieren (SWS) manufactured thirty UIC-Z1 type high-capacity wagons for the SBB. The car was strongly based on the Eurofima car, but differed significantly from them in a few points – the second-class cars had row seating in the arrangement 2+2, as well as the large, wide windows, as was previously the case with the 1st class. Class car found. The cars designated as Bpm 20-70 were used by the SBB mainly in international traffic and were given all the SBB color schemes, from Eurofima orange to grey/stone gray to today’s black and white color scheme. From 1999, the cars were rebuilt for domestic use and received new face-to-face seating. In 2016, 25 of these cars were sold to the Czech railway company Regiojet.
