Gravel Wagon Facns 133, DBAG, Ep.V ‘Elbekies’

Since the early 1990s, these 16-meter-long Facns 133 hopper wagons have been offered for rent by Deutsche Bahn (DB), primarily for transporting ballast, sand, and gravel. These 55-cubic-meter wagons are also used by Elbekies GmbH to transport sand, gravel, and gravel mixtures for the construction industry. On the company’s own premises in Mühlberg/Elbe, a DHG 700C (nme item no. 123601) in Elbekies livery has been shunting these Facns 133s during the filling process and assembling unit trains since 2014. Numerous separately applied metal and plastic parts accurately reproduce the appearance of the prototype in 1:160 scale. The nme model features a close-coupling mechanism, NEM coupler pockets, and excellent running characteristics. The Elbekies wagons feature a simulated load (gravel) and are an excellent match for the DHG 700C, which is also part of the nme range and can be ordered under article number 123601.
