Titanic Platinum Edition: When perfection is your standard

Many model makers know the dilemma: you buy a kit and then invest twice as much and a lot of time looking for "aftermarket" parts because plastic alone often doesn't look realistic enough. Particularly on historic ships, plastic decks or railings that are too thick seriously disrupt the overall impression. With the Titanic Platinum Edition we end this search. We provide you with a high-end package that leaves nothing to be desired. You not only receive the kit, but also the premium components such as real wood decks and photo-etched parts, which turn a very good model into a museum masterpiece.

Why this edition is the premier class

• High-end materials: A self-adhesive real wood deck ensures an incomparably realistic look that is difficult to imitate with paint.

• Filigree details: Photo-etched parts replace coarse plastic elements and represent railings, ladders and structures in true-to-scale detail.

• Stability and appearance: Included metal tubes enhance masts and structures and ensure an elegant finish.

• Challenge for professionals: At Level 5, this kit is a challenging project that requires patience and experience.

• Imposing size: At a scale of 1:400, the finished ship reaches a length of 67 cm - a dominant eye-catcher in any room.

• Attention to detail: The finest engravings and 3D components ensure that you continue to discover new details even after construction.

The "Platinum Edition" is our answer to the desire for uncompromising quality. You're not just assembling a ship here; you reconstruct a legend using the best possible materials. The construction process is a journey in itself: laying the wooden deck requires precision, but rewards you with a warm, authentic feel. Working with the photo-etched parts requires a steady hand, but gives the model that delicate lightness that characterized the original.

This set is for you if you want to leave the "plastic look" behind. It's the ultimate project for long winter evenings where you can completely lose yourself in the technical beauty of the world's most famous ocean liner. The result is a model that doesn't look like a toy, but rather like a technical exhibit.

Background information

The RMS Titanic was more than just a ship; it was the pride of the White Star Line and a symbol of the technical optimism of the early 20th century. At 269 meters long, when it was commissioned in 1912, it was the largest movable object created by human hands. Their tragic demise after colliding with an iceberg, in which over 1,500 people died, is deeply anchored in the collective memory. The wreck, which was only discovered in 1985 at a depth of 3,800 meters, continues to fascinate researchers and historians to this day. With this model you preserve the memory of the engineering masterpiece and the human destinies that are associated with this name.
